Thanks for sharing Randy. All I can say is if the creator made this universe and the lifeforms that go with it he can shape the earth in 6000 years.
It was about 1750 when stratigraphy geology and the belief in an older earth came to life as a science.
This science sure did take off at high education levels with involved and complex assumptions on an international scale for 3 centuries at this point. And many people have dedicated their life to this science with great investment in time, study and money.
At this point in time the creation theory really really makes this science look embarrassingly ridiculous. And vica-versa. I've taken some gentle criticism in bringing the creation subject up recently and I am starting to understand why.
Let tell a story that happened to me last week.
I wanted to listen to a highly educated person discuss the formation of chert. I looked thru Youtube till I found a very interesting and well spoken Oklahoma fellow named David Goza.
This is his lecture on the formation of chert which I found very educational:
After watching this video I searched for another similar video that David Goza may have on this subject. And I did find his excellent video about petrified wood and it too was also very educational. So I continued to search for more of his videos on silicification/fossilization/petrification.
Then I found this video he made in my search and was quite shocked to see the level of negativity toward creation.
As I listened to it I found out just how hated the creation belief can be !
This is Mr' Goza's video that woke me up regarding his very negative attitude towards creation. His attitude made me wonder if he has his doubts about science. It is obvious that the creation belief has weighed on him heavily. Or he simply considers it a farst. Wow:
And this is Mr. Goza's video of him reflecting on reaching a mature age and nearing his final years. I found it sad and void of any positive outlook for his afterlife. Where as I am well aware of my increasing infirmities brought on by age and nearing of the end and am anxious to depart from this wicked and painful world and enter God's kingdom thanks to my belief in our Lord and Savior Jesus.
