I finally gave in on the 18 of December 2023 and went to see my dentist, Dr. Brian Glazier at Arbor Dental.
At first I was going to have both top and bottom Teeth done - Cost $ 12,000. Decided to just do the top for $4,000.
He made a wax cast of the roof of my mouth, 3 days later, on the 21st had me back to check the wax top of the plate for for fitting, it was fine, then sent me to an Oral surgeon to have my teeth extracted. He promised to have the denture ready for the extraction day so it could be a band-aid For my mouth to heal in. they would prevent swelling, and hold the shape of the mouth while healing,
They scheduled me for the 3rd of January. Dr. Erik J. Nielsen, D.D.S., M.D. was my surgeon.
Within 45 Fairly gentle minutes, he had them all removed. The price was reduced 10% fory paying with a check rather than credit card, and another deduction for not using so much anesthesia - i was awake for the whole procedure because of my New heart valve.
What I was Eating with:
As soon as the last tooth was extracted, he cleaned me up, placed some self dissolving stitches, and placed my new denture. Then stuffed my mouth full of gauze For the bleeding, and a whole lot more gauze to change out periodically.
My wife then drove me down to the dentists office to make some adjustments where the denture was pinching me. They took me right in, Filled off some sharp edges and sent me on my way. The Bleeding stopped about 14 hours later, and I am due back at the dentists for another adjustment on he 11th of January. The denture was all paid for by Humana.
I am more than pleased with the whole procedure.
