According to the best of man's calculations, . . . 13.8 Billion years ago GOD began extracting the raw materials needed to build this universe from the previous one through a Black Hole we have named "The Big Bang."
At once HE began the work required to convert that raw material into the elements we would need to live by making hydrogen then converting it through stars into all the other elements.
13.51 billion years ago HE already had the Milky Way under construction.
Observed structure of the Milky Way's spiral arms[1] The Orion Arm is a minor spiral arm of the Milky Way Galaxy that is 3,500 light-years (1,100 parsecs) across and approximately 10,000 light-years (3,100 parsecs) in length,[2] containing the Solar System, including Earth. It is also referred to by its full name, the Orion–Cygnus Arm, as well as Local Arm, Orion Bridge, and formerly, the Local Spur and Orion Spur. Milky Way centre from Sinai, Egypt The arm is named for the Orion Constellation, which is one of the most prominent constellations of Northern Hemisphere winter (Southern Hemisphere summer). Some of the brightest stars and most famous celestial objects of the constellation (e.g. Betelgeuse, Rigel, the three stars of Orion's Belt, the Orion Nebula) are within it A Closer look at our neighborhood - A more serious look -

Astronomers have observed there averages 3 supernovae every hundred years in galaxies. That amounts to around 138,000,000,000 supernovae around us! All that material gathers into huge cometary knots between the spiral arms of the galaxies. We have named that local collection "The Oort Cloud." Which actually does not have a boundary. What materials have the supernovae provided for us? Lots of the elements and minerals we see all around us every day - stuff we couldn't live without! Lots of hydrogen and oxygen that becomes water, then ice. The same with CO2. What would we do without iron for our blood? All that stuff became small icy meteors, asteroids and moons in the Oort Cloud. Objects began spinning around each other within the clouds and their gravity drew in more and more material until the spinning masses became stars - apparently most often double stars, but in our case, a star with planets.
This cleared much of the space surrounding the solar system with the exception of the remaining spinning material in the "Hill cloud" which we have named the "Kuiper Belt." The Kuiper belt (/ˈkaɪpər, ˈkʊɪ-/)[1] is a circumstellar disc in the outer Solar System, extending from the orbit of Neptune at 30 astronomical units (AU) to approximately 50 AU from the Sun.[2] It is similar to the asteroid belt, but is far larger – 20 times as wide and 20–200 times as massive.[3][4] Like the asteroid belt, it consists mainly of small bodies or remnants from when the Solar System formed. While many asteroids are composed primarily of rock and metal, most Kuiper belt objects are composed largely of frozen volatiles (termed "ices"), such as methane, ammonia and water. The Kuiper belt is home to three officially recognized dwarf planets: Pluto, Haumea and Makemake. Some of the Solar System's moons, such as Neptune's Triton and Saturn's Phoebe, may have originated in the region.[5][6]

Several years ago I calculated how the age of the Earth compared with the Universe. 4.5Billion/13.8Billion = 0.326086956521739 - Almost one third of all time!Knowing IMPACT is the #1 geologic process in the universe, I wondered how the earth had managed to survive. This is how! Like a huge pinball machine with flippers from the Oort Cloud, through the Kuiper Belt, the Trojans of Neptune and Jupiter, ALL protecting us! BUT every hundred years there continue to be three new supernovae, and sooner or later, a new comet is bound to get by. Pluto was one. Over time those long entry orbits are buffeted into ever rounder orbits like Pluto's has dome. There have been others. The most famous is Halley's - Remember Hale Bop and its "hidden space ship"? That comet was on its second trip through our solar system.
